Is it safe to eat a lot of chocolate during pregnancy?
Chocolate is perfectly safe for most pregnant women – in moderation. In fact, there's some evidence that eating chocolate during pregnancy could lower your risk of preeclampsia and gestational hypertension.
One study found that eating a small amount of dark chocolate every day starting in the first trimester improved blood flow to the fetus.

You don't want to overdo it for two reasons.
